kids at a concert clapping their hands

Ravinia’s Kids Concerts series emulates the festival’s main-stage programming across a mix of different genres and artists, all in a kid-friendly environment. These concerts directly connect to the mission of Ravinia's Reach Teach Play® education programs to bring the joy of music to thousands throughout the Chicago area.

Children 2 and Under

Children under age 7 are permitted in reserved seats only for the Kids Concerts series. On these dates, there is also a free ticket option for children 2 and under who will be held in the lap of an accompanying adult during the performance. Children of all ages are always permitted on the Lawn.

Please order these tickets in advance from individual concert pages; all concertgoers need a ticket for park admission, regardless of age. Adults will not be admitted with a ticket intended for a child.

Ravinia requires parental supervision of all children admitted to the festival.

KidsLawn: Interactive Musical Playground

This family-friendly space on the North Lawn is the perfect place to let kids run and play between interactive, large-scale percussion instruments on which they can make their own kind of music. KidsLawn is open for all concerts. On select dates, KidsLawn features additional activities such as an “instrument petting zoo,” arts and crafts, or live performances (details below).
