About the Performance
“Raw talent never falters,” writes American Songwriter. Though it has been more than a decade since Alabama Shakes burst onto the scene, fans have patiently awaited the reunion of vocalist and guitarist Brittany Howard, guitarist Heath Fogg, and bassist Zac Cockrell. Their return isn’t just a comeback—it’s a rekindling of the electrifying chemistry that first redefined modern Southern rock, soul, and blues for a new generation.
With their 2012 debut album, Boys & Girls, Alabama Shakes entered Billboard’s Independent Albums chart at No. 1, earning multiple Grammy nominations and making Rolling Stone’s list as one of the year’s best albums. Soon after its release, the bandmates found themselves thrust into the global spotlight, achieving such milestones as performing at the White House and on “Saturday Night Live.”
Years of solo exploration and creative growth have only deepened the band’s artistry, bringing renewed perspective and fire to their unmistakable sound. Reunited onstage, Alabama Shakes channel the raw urgency of their early days while embracing the confidence and musical maturity earned over time—proving that their bond, and their brilliance, remain as vital as ever.
They are joined by opening act Liam Kazar, a Chicago-born, Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter whose genre-fluid sound blends folk-rock, pop, jazz, and alt-country with ease. Stripped-down and sonically direct, his music moves with a quiet confidence, illuminating Kazar’s evolution into a singular and resonant voice in indie music.
