Ravinia’s 2021 CSO Residency
Ravinia has been the summer residence of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra since 1936, annually presenting six weeks of concerts by the nation’s finest ensemble in the open-air Pavilion. With audiences also enjoying the performances across the spacious Lawn, Ravinia is an idyllic setting for enjoying the CSO, whether as a tradition with family and friends or for first encounters with some of the most moving music ever written.
As Ravinia’s Chief Conductor and Curator, Marin Alsop programs and leads many concerts each season with the CSO. Several guest conductors and soloists, both longtime favorites and artists making their CSO debuts, also join the orchestra onstage throughout its residency.
