Directions to Ravinia Parking
Use the Google map above for directions to our public concert parking.
Ravinia's main public parking area is located at 201 Ravinia Park Road, Highland Park, IL, which we refer to as the West Lot.
There is a separate parking lot for donors and off-season Bennett Gordon Hall concerts.
When parking lots get full, patrons will be redirected to Park and Ride shuttle service at these locations.
Driving to Ravinia
Ravinia is in a residential neighborhood bordered by single-lane streets, so traffic can back up on some concert nights. Please allot time for traffic delays. If convenient, the Metra Union Pacific North Line commuter train stops at our front gate.
From Chicago
- Follow the Kennedy Expressway (I-90/94) west to the Edens Expressway (I-94) and U.S. Route 41. Exit at Lake Cook Road and travel 1 mile east to Green Bay Road. Make a left on Green Bay Road, and a right into the Ravinia parking lot.
- For Park and Ride lots, exit Route 41 at Central Avenue. Follow Central east to St. Johns Road. Make a right on St. Johns and follow the blue Park 'N Ride signs to designated Park and Ride lots (permanent lots are located at the Highland Park and Ravinia Metra stations).
From Milwaukee and the northern suburbs
- Head south on U.S. Route 41 or I-94. Exit at Lake Cook Road and travel east to Green Bay Road. Make a left on Green Bay Road, and a right into the Ravinia parking lot.
- For Park and Ride lots, exit Route 41 at Central Avenue. Follow Central east to St. Johns Road. Make a right on St. Johns and follow the blue Park and Ride signs to designated Park and Ride lots (permanent lots are located at the Highland Park and Ravinia Metra stations.)
From the west
- From I-90, take I-294 toward Wisconsin. Exit at Lake Cook Road and travel 4.5 miles east to Green Bay Road. Make a left on Green Bay Road, and a right into the Ravinia parking lot.
From the south
- Take I-294 north, exit at Lake Cook Road and travel 4.5 miles east to Green Bay Road. Make a left on Green Bay Road, and a right into the Ravinia parking lot.
From Indiana
- Take I-90 or I-80/94 to I-94 northbound to Chicago and then follow the directions from Chicago, above.
Parking Information
Ravinia's main public parking area is located at 201 Ravinia Park Road, Highland Park, IL, which we refer to as the West Lot.
- $25 for most non-classical events
- $10 for Chicago Symphony and guest orchestra concerts and Carousel Concerts
- Free for classical chamber music concerts, Kids Concerts, and dance events
- Lot opens one hour prior to published park opening time, 30 minutes prior for Kids Concerts
- The West Lot can reach capacity quickly. When filled, cars will be directed to a Park and Ride lot
- Patrons can be dropped off in the West Lot or the nearby Metra stations only. No drop-offs can be made on public streets.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Lake Cook Road Closure
Lake Cook Road will be closed east of Green Bay Road and west of St. Johns Ave for railroad repairs at the Braeside station crossing from Oct. 10 through Oct. 19. Please plan ahead as this closure could impact your route to Ravinia. Railroad officials report that trains will not stop at Braeside station late evening on weekdays or on the weekend.
