About The Artist

French baritone Stéphane Degout, who thrilled Chicago audiences in his 2011 Lyric Opera debut, now makes his Ravinia debut alongside BBC Cardiff Singer of the World official accompanist Simon Lepper. Degout proves that the words of his countrymen contain just as much melodic grace as those of lieder lyricists on a program that mixes songs by Fauré with those by Schubert, Schumann, Liszt and more.
