PROGRAM CHANGE: Ravinia favorite Garrick Ohlsson will step in for Daniil Trifonov, who is unable to travel due to an ear infection, to perform Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 (“Emperor”) instead of Schumann’s Piano Concerto on this Chicago Symphony Orchestra concert. To accommodate this change, Weber’s Overture to Der Freischütz has been dropped from the program. Ravinia wishes Mr. Trifonov a speedy recovery and thanks Mr. Ohlsson for stepping in on short notice.

Revised Program:

Beethoven:   Piano Concerto No. 5 (“Emperor”)
Dvořák:   Symphony No. 9 (“From the New World”)
