About The Artist

Misha and Cipa Dichter return to Ravinia to showcase the true artistic partnership that stems from having been married nearly as long as they’ve been performing together. In addition to giving engaging solo performances, the duo have dedicated themselves to introducing the world to four-hand– and two-piano repertoire once lost, established and new alike. In 2009 at Ravinia they gave the world premiere of Mendelssohn’s previously unpublished four-hand arrangement of his six Op. 62 Songs without Words dedicated to Queen Victoria, for whom the composer added a seventh that would later begin his Op. 67 set. The Dichters reprise the piece on this concert, as well as favorites by Rachmaninoff, Dvořák and Saint-Saëns.
