About The Artist

Deemed “a virtuoso with formidable fingers and a musician with fiercely original ideas about the music he plays” by London’s Financial TimesPedja Muzijevic goes head-to-head with another original musical mind: John Cage. The composer conceived The Seasons as ballet music for the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, of which he was music director, shortly after he became immersed in the emotionality and tranquility of Indian music and philosophy. A similar range of aesthetics can also be found in Chopin’s Preludes, performed complete, and Schumann’s Novelletten, represented by the tender Novellette No. 8.
