Calidore String Quartet

In the midst of recording Ludwig van Beethoven’s complete string quartets for Signum Records, the Calidore brings its “understated but relentless intensity” (Los Angeles Times) to all three phases: the melancholy of the “early” No. 6, the plucky restlessness of the “middle” No. 10, and the deep strength of the “late” No. 15.

Ludwig van Beethoven:   String Quartet No. 6
Ludwig van Beethoven:   String Quartet No. 10 (“Harp”);
Ludwig van Beethoven:   String Quartet No. 15
