  Views of the Stage

The Martin Theatre is an indoor venue. While live audio from the performance is broadcast outside for Lawn ticketholders, the stage is not visible from any location on the Lawn.

In the midst of recording Ludwig van Beethoven’s complete string quartets for Signum Records, the Calidore brings its “understated but relentless intensity” (Los Angeles Times) to all three phases: the melancholy of the “early” No. 6, the plucky restlessness of the “middle” No. 10, and the deep strength of the “late” No. 15.
