About the Artist

For many, Ruth Page and dance in Chicago are synonymous. The Ruth Page Civic Ballet brings the elegance, artistry, and creative daring of its namesake in a world-premiere performance at Ravinia this season. In honor of the 50th anniversary of The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, two different programs will highlight the unique artistic collaborations of this Chicago cultural institution and the next generation of extraordinary dance artists.

This evening features contemporary and neoclassical works by renowned international choreographers, including a dance commissioned from Nejla Yatkin that reimagines Expanding Universe, Ruth Page’s groundbreaking 1932 collaboration with artist Isamu Noguchi.
