About The Artist

“Color Portrait”: A journey toward self-identity and realized dreams through story and song

Laurie Rubin takes listeners on a journey of adventure and self-discovery through the vulnerability, challenges, triumphs, tragedies, and joys conveyed by different styles of song. Alongside her partner, pianist Jenny Taira, Rubin transports her audience out of the concert hall and into her living room, sharing and creating a newfound appreciation for classical works, poignant musical theater pieces, her original songs through the context of stories from her own life.
