Reach Teach Play®: Reach Programs

Programs that extend Ravinia’s REACH and bring the joy of music to thousands throughout the Chicago area
Guest Artists in the Classroom – Ravinia brings engaging live classical performances by renowned ensembles and musicians to schools in Cook and Lake Counties, reaching over 10,000 children annually.
KidsLawn – Special events on Ravinia’s North Lawn allow children to explore music in fun and exciting ways through large scale percussion instruments, instrument petting zoos, sing-a-longs, storytelling and musical crafts. See schedule of Kidslawn dates.
Opportunity Lawn Pass Program – In partnership with social service agencies, this longstanding free ticket distribution program provides access to individuals who otherwise would not be able to attend Ravinia concerts. Established by the Ravinia Women’s Board in 1965, this free ticket program has served area organizations and their constituents for more than 50 years.
Classical Invitations – Ravinia welcomes students enrolled in community music schools and their families to Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Steans Music Institute concerts and master classes to further enrich their music education.
Summer Day Camps – Children enrolled in community-based summer day camps receive music enrichment programs including music classes, instrument-making and performance opportunities.
Highland Park Schools – In partnership with the District 112 Education Foundation, students in our neighborhood Highland Park schools receive unique workshops and performances that connect them and their families to Ravinia.
