The Pavilion

For those of you who like the traditional concert experience, the pavilion is where it’s at. Ravinia’s 3,350-seat open-air, covered Pavilion is host to the annual residence of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra at the heart of the festival’s summer season, as well as to a wide variety of the greatest rock, pop, blues, jazz, and country musicians today and much more.

Seating begins a half-hour before the concert start time (or before the opening act). Please note that food is not permitted inside the Pavilion, and drinks are permitted only in paper or plastic containers 24oz or smaller. Many guests choose to enjoy food and drink on the Lawn before the concert; Pavilion ticketholders may store their picnic gear along the outer edge of the seating area when entering the Pavilion.

Late arrivals can be a disturbance for fellow concertgoers. As a result, reserved-seat ticketholders will not be admitted to the Pavilion after the start of the performance until there is a suitable break in the program. Late seating is at the discretion of the management.
