Ticket Sale Terms and Conditions
Contributors to the not-for-profit Ravinia Festival Association have first priority on tickets. Public orders will be taken, subject to ticket availability, after all requests placed by contributors during early request periods have been filled. Admission is subject to terms, conditions, and policies established by the Ravinia Festival Association. Programs and artists are subject to cancelation or change without notice. All concertgoers need a ticket for park admission, regardless of age.
Fees and Service Charges
Listed ticket prices include taxes and local municipal fees. An additional $12 service charge per order is added to all online, phone, and mail purchases. Lawn tickets to most non-classical performances purchased on the date of the concert cost an additional $5 over published prices.
Lawn screen pricing: Published lawn ticket prices will increase by $5 on nights when a video screen is added on the lawn.
Ticket Quantity Limits
Ravinia reserves the right to limit the number of tickets that may be purchased online for each event. A maximum of 10 lawn tickets per event may be purchased online per transaction, not exceeding 20 total lawn tickets per event. We reserve the right to cancel any orders and tickets without notice to you if these limits are exceeded. For needs beyond these limits, please call the box office at 847-266-5100.
All ticket sales are final; no refunds will be given unless a performance is canceled in its entirety with no replacement performance scheduled. Refunds will not be considered for instances of inclement weather, artist or program changes, show duration, traffic, parking-related issues, or perceived quality of performance. Lost or stolen tickets cannot be replaced—store your tickets in a safe place.
Ravinia does not censor or control the content created by guest artists. If you have sensitivities to adult language or socio-political commentary, please be aware of the artists’ work before purchasing tickets to and/or attending their performances.
Ravinia is an open-air venue, and performances will go on rain or shine; there are no rain checks. In the event of severe weather, Ravinia cannot guarantee indoor refuge for all guests.
Exchanges / Donations
Reserved-seat tickets may be exchanged up to 24 hours before the date of the performance for another performance on the calendar. Tickets may not be exchanged for a concert beyond the final concert of the summer season. Ticket exchanges may only be done in-person at the box office or over the phone and may not be made for same-date tickets currently discounted under an active promotion.
If you are unable to use your reserved-seat or lawn tickets, you may consider donating them to the not-for-profit festival as a tax-deductible donation. Donations of unused tickets are accepted in-person or by phone up until the listed start time of the performance.
All lawn ticket sales are final, and no exchanges will be made.
A single lawn ticket may be upgraded at any time to a reserved seat for the same show for the difference in cost between ticket types, subject to availability. The ticket upgrade may only be done in person or over the phone.
Ravinia is pleased to offer discounts to children, students, and seniors over age 65 for many of our performances. Child and student discounts may be found online as an option when adding eligible tickets to the cart or as a separate ticket option link when available. For information on discounts offered to seniors over age 65, please call the box office at 847-266-5100 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Concertgoers age 15 and under and students through college may receive free or reduced-price admission to all classical concerts performed in the Pavilion or Martin Theatre, excluding the Gala Benefit. Film events have a limited number of lawn tickets or reserved seats available for a reduced price, only in advance of the presentation. Child or student lawn tickets may be upgraded to reserved seating for a discounted price, subject to availability and eligibility. Children under age 7 are not permitted in reserved seats, except for designated family performances. Select non-classical performances may have free or discounted tickets available for infants and children ages 2 and under. Please check individual concert pages for more information. Ravinia requires parental supervision of all children admitted to the festival.
A valid school ID is required for park admission using a student-priced ticket. Guests without valid identification may be turned away or asked to pay the difference of a full-price ticket. Adults will not be admitted with a ticket intended for a child and will be required to purchase the correct ticket for the event, subject to availability.
