Ravinia Music Box

Experience Music in a Brand-New Way!

The Ravinia Music Box features an immersive, 65-seat, wraparound 4D theater with a museum gallery space, created by BRC Imagination Arts, the experience design and production company behind the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland and the Ryman Auditorium Backstage Tour in Nashville, among many other projects. The building features exhibits and experiences that help to further Ravinia's mission to develop broader and more diverse audiences for classical music.

Visit Before Your Concert Starts

The Ravinia Music Box is open on nights featuring an orchestral or non-classical concert in the Pavilion, with free admission to patrons in the park. The building will be open from gate opening until the concert starts, with the last show running 30 minutes prior. Guests should allow up to 30 minutes to experience the complete theater program and gallery when entering.

Featuring

Bernstein's Answer is an immersive theater experience that celebrates the legacy of Leonard Bernstein, launched by a decade-long collaboration with the festival’s leadership, board, staff, and donors, as well as Jamie Bernstein—the eldest daughter of the iconic American musical, social, and cultural leader.

The goal of the project is to introduce—in an engaging, fun, and interactive way—new listeners to classical music, as well as to offer new insights to those who are already fans. The experience is open to all ages and is sure to delight and engage everyone who enters.

Inside the Ticket explores how Ravinia concert tickets provide more than entertainment. As a not-for-profit organization, Ravinia works year-round to inspire curiosity and a love of classical music, present an outstanding array of artists from all backgrounds, enable talented young professional musicians to develop their careers, and serve Chicagoland with music education programs.

This summer’s exhibit focuses on Reach Teach Play, Ravinia’s wide-ranging music education and engagement programs that serve over 75,000 community members each year and ensure that music remains accessible to all. These programs provide children and families with inclusive music education programs and live music experiences in their schools and communities and at Ravinia.
