Itzhak Perlman takes the podium to lead the melodious Tchaikovsky Melodious Fifth Symphony and Haydn’s Cello Concerto in D, performed by MacArthur Foundation “genius” Alisa Weilerstein, whose recent recording of concertos by Elgar and Carter was named one of the best classical albums of 2012.
